Before founding his own ventures, Cruz spent 25 years working in structured and project finance across Latin America and the United States with organizations including GE Capital, GE Power, NBCUniversal, and Unilever. His career includes more than $2 billion in closed transactions, including an $800 million power plant transaction in Argentina, giving him extensive experience working with banks, governments, and Fortune 500 organizations.

Today, Cruz is the founder of ScalingCFO.io, where he combines fractional CFO expertise with an AI-powered financial platform to help companies between $1M and $20M build stronger financial foundations and operating systems. He also leads Ascend Growth Ventures, working directly with a select group of 7- and 8-figure founders to improve financial performance and enterprise value.
