In 2011, while struggling as a writing coach and blogger, Carol founded the Freelance Writers Den, a paid community priced at just $25 a month, that grew to over 1,500 members, generated nearly $6 million over its lifetime, replaced her husband's income, and supported a family of five for over a decade. In 2021, she sold it for life-changing money.
